Featured Character: Solitaire
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your character...
A: Solitaire just crept up on me. She started out as a minor character as another characters mother and finally just took over. She grows on you. Like all good moms can make you crazy and be your northern star on the compass at the same time Of course falling in love with a Fallen Angel clinched it even though a case of chivalrous, unrequited love she follows him everywhere… riding shotgun Ha Ha. Like all good things totally unplanned the truth of your own real self finally finds you, like it or not. ...
Q: Why did you join PH?
A: Who could resist these people…the talent in here just amazes me.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a member here at Pan Historia?
A: Did you ever hear of the Simian Line? The simian line runs across the hand replacing the heart and headline. It is a sign of inner tension. It may be destructive or creative or even both. They say it belongs to artists and criminals alike. A sign of traveling up and down the ladder of evolution. Be it good or evil… Alpha or Omega. It is devil that chases the creative in us. And I bet you are checking… Pan is probably full of simian line people… A fascinating bunch. To the person with the simian line there is only right or wrong and nothing in between. People with this line work twice as hard, study twice as hard and fight twice as hard. My kind of people. Pitting wits with the best of them.
Q: What are your greatest accomplishments, either in RL or here at Pan?
A: I am still alive
Q: I noticed you belong to many fantasy novels and are a Board Member of three of them. What is it about the Fantasy genre that appeals to you the most? Do you have a favorite Fantasy author or novel that has inspired your character?
A: I love Fantasy. It is so metaphorical and archetypical… The mere fact that anything is possible and as they say … black and white… good and evil up there with the gods… of course Beyond the Northwood’s is the old home favorite. And Dragons Paw is really humming with a lot of clever, talented people…but I like it best when a novel like Atlantis the Return is new. Still in its liquid state, waiting to gel…you throw out an idea and see who bites… I am often taken aback with the results and seeing all the characters finally sorts it all out and become a family. And like all family members bouncing all their good and bad traits off of each other all in the spirit of fun… And we do have fun. I can gloat for a whole day after I have really nailed that baddie this time… but like Bugs Bunny they all get up again to fight the next day. As for inspiration, no one can beat Talkie at anything fasmatazical.
