Featured Reference Book: The PSI Digest

by Bellatrix Lestrange

The PSI Digest I believe came into existence soon after the birth of Pan Historia. I can't say for sure, having joined at the beginning and then had real life swallow me up until about three years ago when I rejoined. I have seen somewhere that it's one of Pan's oldest reference books, however.

Recently the MoBs have tried to expand our understanding of what exactly 'PSI' is. PSI stands for Paranormal Studies and Investigation, but we've gone on to expand this to cover not only ghostly sightings and the generally weird, to encompassing things like astrology and meditation as we feel it has some basis in the paranormal as well.

We've also updated our dust jacket recently, and posted on it are things like the current moon phases, astrology for the month, and the Celtic zodiac. This keeps things changing and more interesting than a static dust jacket.

As far as ghostly phenomenon goes, I think we can prove that it does exist. Now, I know this is a big claim (*laughing*) but some of the stories we've collected from members over the years seem to definitely prove that something is going on out there. We have lots of ghost sightings, odd happenings and some photos of orbs.

Other subjects we cover include spirit guides, alternative medicine, auras, meditation, shamanism and animal guides, psychic abilities, and the other side. We welcome anyone, with any point of view. You don't have to be a believer; we've even had a few skeptics join in the fun!

On the social boards we also recently added a new topic – book recommendations – because there's some exciting stuff out there our members might not have had a chance to find yet.

I do really think the reason why PSI is so successful is that we're very tolerant of others views, no matter what they are. We also try to help our members, whether they have a question, or a comment. A lot of our members do genuinely have a burning question about something and we try to treat each question with thought and with suggestions as to what might be going on. Plus it's very exciting to read about what might be happening out there!

I sincerely hope PSI will be around for many more years, and that people continue to post their experiences and weird and wonderful happenings!
