Featured Novel: City of the Undead

City of the Undead to me is addictive. I'll be honest. I have left the novel in the past, but I keep returning. There must be a reason for this...and it has to be more than just the fact I love vampires, because there's other vampire novels here at Pan. I think it's because it has so much potential. Your arena at COTU is New York City. Anything basically can happen in New York City and not be noticed, or I should say, be noticed by those who are not noticed. It is the perfect place to hold gatherings for the undead among the night life, such as dance clubs. My character, Marcel Michaelangelo, is a proprietor to several of the night clubs. The addition of his Mother, Lilitu, brings another element that may be rare in other novels, because it adds the demonic, or what we in the novel refer to daemonic. Think of the relationship of Lilitu to Marcel as that of say Endora to Samantha of Bewithed, only darker, and more twisted. The idea of the Council of Elders and the Book of Erebus (which is actually a scroll) intrigued me. I thought that was a great concept, which was further developed by Tempest Storm, the creator of the novel. We just recently ended the Council Meeting at Chevron Castle (not by choice *lol*) and so are ready to develop more on the characters at COTU and the hidden secrets of the Book of Erebus as well as the Slayers, the vampire hunters (e.g. Blade and Preston Kane) who will be eager to destroy the evil abound in NY city.
