Lt. Jade Edrie

Interviewed by Dr. Taniko Kishimoto

If you would be so kind, do tell us a little bit about yourself?

Lt. Jade Edrie: Born and raised in Washington State. Huge Scifi fan like Star Trek Star Wars and throw in Fantasy as well, a huge Lord of the Ring fan. You may find me under two different characters for the two sister novel sites here.. One is The One Ring novel and New Tales from Middle Earth.. Don’t mind me, I’m plugging two other novels that I write in. *Smiles* But I also have two jobs, one is at Experience Music Project which will be sharing another museum called Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame due to open June 18th.. and the other job is at Seahawk Stadium.

Why did you join PanHistoria?

Lt. Jade Edrie: They were closing down both Scifisite and AncientSites both I enjoy writing in.

Have you ever done any other writing outside of online communities, such as poetry, journals, professional publication or for just plain personal enjoyment?

Lt. Jade Edrie: None.. But a side note though, my Aunt is an author. So maybe one day I will get down to writing. but this more fun.

You are mostly interested in science fiction. Could you tell us something about what draws you to the exploration of the future?

Lt. Jade Edrie: I always wanted to be astronaut and travel to the moon or orbiting around the Earth in the space station. I also grew up watching scifi tv shows like Star Trek or Space1999.. It looked so cool to travel among the stars, to see new worlds and new civilizations to boldly go where no one has gone before...

How do you vary your roles within the three science fiction Novels you are a member of? (Beyond the Stars, Adventures of the Frontier, Star Wars: The Saga)

Lt. Jade Edrie: I tried to get them straight when writing for three different novels for one.*Smiles* With BTS, my character is human with telepathic ability and she’s jr. Weapons officer. In Frontier novel, my character here is a Bajoran who grew up in the Occupation of her homeworld by the Cardassians and grew to hate them. But that was cured when she met Lt. Commander Iliana Ghemor a Cardassian Ambassador to the Federation and grew quite close. For the Star Wars novel, my character has two roles in the novel, one is an NPC character and lead, Queen Afra of Naboo; which I write under my character name, and that Queen Afra doesn’t know that Commander Jade Edrie is her twin sister, both are gifted with Jedi abilities. But with Queen Afra, she doesn’t know she has these abilities at least not yet.. *smiles*

As a MoBster of Adventures of the Frontier and of Star Wars: The Saga, what do you see yourself bringing to these Novels?

Lt. Jade Edrie: I’m hoping to get both novels moving along. But we all have certain abilities or limitations, due to rl issues, or writers block. But all in all I really enjoy the members for both novels each has given me suggestions or what do better. Also too, the members that are in my novels, are great bunch of writers.. Since I share MoBsters duties with my fellow MoBsters, I really enjoy having other people opinion or suggestions when making final decisions.

What are your greatest accomplishments, real life or otherwise?

Lt. Jade Edrie: Being a MoBsters in about six novels to me that is accomplishment in itself. But I think my greatest accomplishment is my writing. I have been told by members that are in the same novel or just dropping by to let me know on how much they enjoy my writing. To me, that is great to hear.

If you really were living at the time of any of your science fiction novels, what would you best see yourself doing?

Lt. Jade Edrie: That’s a toughy.. I love both time periods of my novels. But if I had to make a choice, it would be Star Wars universe.. I always wanted to be Jedi. *smiles*

Thanks again for selecting me as Feature Member..*S*
