From The Balcony is Pan Historia's Reference Book dedicated to many facets of the Entertainment Industry, presenting up-to-the-minute entertainment news, gossip, reviews, games, live-event coverage and discussion geared toward movie and TV and enthusiasts alike.
Since its inception in May 2001, From the Balcony began simply by having members review and discuss newly released films, films on VHS and DVD and new and old television programing. Now almost three years later, Balcony has broadened it focus to include news and gossip of the entertainment industry and has incorporated the popular tag games that have been a staple of Pan Historia since the beginning.
You may ask; " Well, who cares what Hollywood does". And that is a sentiment that's easy to go along with. But in recent years, more than in recent decades, Hollywood's door has been cracked open slightly wider again to influences from beyond those golden hills in southern California. Movie quotes have seeped into our every day manner of speaking; " It's not personal, It's only business " ( from the Godfather; used to explain ruthless business tactics), or " Excellent " (accompanied by playing air guitar from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure; used to express joy). Movies and television do have a very big impact on global culture as a whole and From the Balcony will be there to share it with Pan Historia.
