Amen, Amon, Imn, Imen

An air or wind diety that gained ascendency in the Egyptian pantheon during the 12th Dynasty with a series of Theban kings elevating his status, and one of the primeval creator gods. His name translates as "the unseen one", and not even the gods where supposed to know his true name. He was the ba of the Netjeru (gods), that force that inhabited everything. He was commonly portrayed as a man wearing a double plumed headdress. He animal symbols are the ram and the goose.
