Sword of the Cimmarians

In the Fantasy Genre, a dynamic Novel lurks. It is a little known Novel, low profile, and yet it has survived from the beginning of Pan Historia. Sword of the Cimmarians is an exciting Novel, for those who have and adventurous spirit, and for those who wish to delve into the world of high adventure in a time when men and women were truly free to create their own destiny.

Sword of the Cimmarians was created in February of 2001, and is proud to be among the first Novels at Pan Historia, and is totally unique in content. There is not another Novel at Pan Historia that is quite like it.

Sword of the Cimmarians is not a Conan novel, and is not based upon the Conan series, but strives to write stories and adventures in the Conan style of writing. The Novel itself is set up into Kingdoms and is designed so that a writer can created any kind of life that they wish….in any Kingdom that they wish, or just be an adventurer and wander around all of the kingdoms. The only rule being - post in the kingdom that you are presently having your adventure or wandering in.

Being a hidden gem among the Novels, Sword of the Cimmarians has great potential for those who have a story to tell. The novel is a closed novel, which means that it is preferred that a potential member apply and be accepted into the novel. It is also rated “R” due to potential for graphic violence. This simply means… that for the sake of realism, a writer can write a fight scene and make the scene as graphic as they wish it to be. The same holds true for romantic situations. Only graphic pornography is not allowed.

Sword of the Cimmarians does not really concentrate on frequency of posts, but rather on quality of posts. So writers have the freedom and flexibility to tell their stories and not feel rushed or hurried. Imagination and creativity are the keys. Writers may write as a group, or if the choose, write a story alone if they have a story to tell and wish to go it alone.

The current story in Swords deals with Nerys of Cauld and the ArchMage. Nerys is in search of her destiny. Powerful magic lies locked and dormant within her. ArchMage has befriended Nerys, and to help awaken her powers, they travel deep within the earth to "The Well of Souls" Not many on the surface world know of the races and inhabitants of the underworld that that Nerys and the ArchMage encounter and have to deal with on their journey.

In another story Cain is in search for the shards to the Gemstone of Thoth. He is traveling to the Outlands to consult with the Oracle in hopes of finding a clue to the locations of the shards. Many adventures await him before his destiny is revealed.

Sword of the Cimmarians welcomes all visitors and prospective members who have a story to tell. It is truly a novel worth investigating for those who have and adventurous soul, and a vivid imagination.
