Thoughts on Pan from Flavia Amytas

When and how did you arrive at PanHistoria? How did you find out about Pan?

I was a member of Ancient Sites, (using the same name) so it was a migration if you like – I have been on Pan since it’s foundation

What keeps you coming back to Pan?

I’ve made some good friends on Pan, and it’s just like meeting them in a coffee bar; that’s one thing. Plus I have some ongoing story lines I am trying to keep up with! And it is an incentive to keep writing.

How often and what time of day do you check in at Pan?

Mostly first thing in the morning. I live in the United Kingdom, and it’s difficult to meet some people, who are in the States, so I make a return trip in the evening.

Is there any piece of work that you are especially proud of that you created here? Why are you pleased with it?

I was quite pleased with the plot line I created in the novel ‘Through the Pages’ when I slipped in time and went back to the Black Death in England; I was writing with Azrael, and I was pleased with it because the facts were as accurate as possible, and it had a fairly spooky feel to it.

What experiences had you had, if any, with online communities other than Pan?

I am a member of Ancient Worlds, and I sometimes post there – really time prevents me from writing in any other communities.

What are your favorite memories here?

The people I’ve met. I think that makes or breaks a online community

Are there any people that stand out in your memory? Who and why?

One person would be Sasha, who is a very dear friend, and as a result of being on Pan, it has turned into an enduring friendship, in real life as well. Another person would be Alexei Nikolaevich, who always amazes me with his gift, and use of, language, and his literary knowledge.

If someone asked you "Why PanHistoria and not site x, y or z?" what would your answer be?

I feel comfortable here

Finish this sentence.. A day (or a life) without PanHistoria is....a dull one.
