Why Do I Breathe?

The tears they seep and burn my cheeks
Shed in silence as if to keep
The world at bay, away from me
Turn my back and let me be
The sorrow fills my aching soul
Touches me until I'm whole
Lays me down upon the grave
No thought to if I have saved
My final rights as once a man
Undone now by my hearts command
I shed the blood, they weep the tears
And in my darkness I know their fears
What can I do? My hands are bound
In the night no solace found
From the voices that cry to me
What can I do to set them free
Bound to a bed for a right done wrong
eternally shamed, emotionally gone
I beg you now and ask you why
Do I draw breath and shed tears to cry?
