Realization

I live in a shadow
Of my own Creation
Life passes by
Without hesitation

I measure each moment
Against the one before
All of them fall short
They can do no more

Somewhere along the way
I came to the realization
That I’m living alone
In my own private Nation

I raise my own flag
It banners in the wind
Striking dull colors
On the horizon again

The dreamer that does not dream
The invisible man
All one in the same
All who I am

The words are now written
For only I to read
Change your ways young man
This warning do heed

Your words they hurt
All you hold dear
Your feelings they cut
Everyone who is near

Change your name, your life
And even your soul
One of these days
I’ll finally be whole

Accepted as me
Without reservation
Knowing its not possible
Is a sad realization
