RavenWolf.... Who is RavenWolf? That isn't an easy question to answer really. I suppose I should start at the beginning. When I first came on line and walked onto the wonderful world wide web, I wasn't sure what to expect. Right away I managed to find a role playing site that was heavily into the writing and less into the live Rping. Thing was, I also walked into the worst of it too. In the first few days of me being there, I had been preposition no less then four times by people who wanted to know if I as interested in a little private chat room sex. Cybersex. Try wrapping your brain around that when you're a newbie to all this. In any case, it shied me off from finding my niche for a while. When I did come back to it, I found that the name I had originally created as a login didn't really suit me. I'm not sure anyone can explain the creation of your online name well enough for you to understand. You just have to walk through it yourself. When we are born our parents give us a name that they like. They look for a name that gives them some sense of who they want you to grow up to be, which is alright. But when you are choosing a name for yourself, its spiritual. The name will speak about some part of you that no one else knows. It needs to have meaning to you and no one else. It took a couple of months for me to find a name I felt fit the person I was that no one but myself knew. RavenWolf It sounds Native American but that had little to do with why it felt like me. Even now I'm not sure I could explain it to you, nor do I think its something I should. Perhaps its best left as a metaphor of feeling wild enough to fly and wise enough to be grounded. I started my online life in writing. At first it was my poetry, which I have been doing since I was a child, and from there it matured into round table writing. (Such as we do here in PanHistoria) From there it was my first tentative steps into graphics and HTML. And beyond that, it was experimenting with advanced coding and website construction. As much as I like graphics and HTML, writing will always be my first love. And that brings us to now. I've edged into the chaotic world of webdesign and up until now, I am enjoying it! My style tends to be colorful where as many pages are plain white with text and pictures. I like a natural blend of colors, graphics and ease to the user. I like the page to load smoothly for dialups and when at all possible, I try to cut down on the stress it may cause an older computer. What becomes of it, becomes of it. Hobbies and passions fade away but our secret names remain.... RavenWolf..... ![]() |
