Glimpses of Light

There is no time-that it's not there
There is no time-that I should care
There is no time-that's just untrue
This heart that beats, that burns right through

How can I hold and wonder not
About lost things and times forgot
When in doubt-I wade through fear
Never knowing if the time is near

That all I feel has come and gone
And lives its life in the great beyond
For without my heart and it's beat
My soul does shudder and then retreat

Can this body-so once untrue
Know true bliss-through and through
Or is the time-forever been lost
And in my wake my life been tossed

I stand here now-the shell you see
My life's true path just now revealed
What once was dark-now is bright
And in her smile-glimpses of light
