Underworld Rose Red
The instructions upon the missive stated that I was to meet the lovely Miss Este at her favorite New York City café. Indeed I felt excited to be able to chat with her again, her insights about herself in our first interview were very elegant. There I sat, pen and paper at the ready awaiting her arrival.
A gust of wind whipped through the patrons in the café and I looked up to see the beautiful Miss Este approach my table. After a nice exchange of pleasantries we got down to business.
Lola:
Please, tell me what drew you to work on creating the novel, Underworld Rose Red?
Este:
My writing partner from City of the Dead was the one who actually brought up the idea of the underworld series. I thought it would be interesting to bring the Underworld to Pan. From what I understood that there was novel called Underworld but sadly it was deleted due to lack of interest. So I brought it back to life as it were and have it focused on my character with a mixture of the movies and fiction thrown in.
Lola:
Tell us about the storyline, where in the Underworld Universe does it start?
Este:
Both the MoBsters and the members have decided to set both storyline and Underworld Universe in modern day New York. The main storyline is focused around my character Este Langton. In this Underworld Universe, both Vampyres and Lycans are not supernatural creatures but rather a product of a virus, and we will be building more of the story as the time goes by.

What is Este’s role?
Este:
Este Langton is in New York City for her book signing tour since her new book entitled ‘The Undead? What do they really want from us?’ Little does she know that there are those of the undead as well as Death Dealers who would love to see her dead. But who will save her? While in New York, Este is currently working on another book about Death Dealers for her next book. Unbeknownst to other Death Dealers and the undead, Este will be causing some problems with her latest book. However, this is not likely if the undead have their way.
Lola:
Currently, what is happening in Underworld Rose Red?
Este:
Right now we are just at the very beginning of the story. I am basically setting up the main story, which is focused on my character so that the members can get an idea of what my character will be doing and what her story is. Some of Este’s story may sound familiar that is because it is being brought over from another novel, and I have tweaked it including her bio to fit in with the Underworld storyline. I think the members are setting up their characters with their own side stories. But don’t quote me on that.

Are you seeking canon characters along with original concepts? What character types are you looking for?
Este:
We are looking for anyone ranging from canon to original characters for Underworld Rose Red. There is a current open cast list on the novel. We welcome any character types and anyone who is interested in the Underworld movies or likes to write in this type of story. Feel free to join, and you don’t have to be familiar with the Underworld trilogy.
