Rise of The Phoenix Parade

How to Parade at Pan
A parade? Online? Are you crazy? Isn’t PanHistoria a writing site?
This is a sentiment that some nonbelievers might have when they hear that for the fifth year, PanHistoria is going to hold a parade to celebrate the rising of Pan after a server meltdown. I have to admit, I was also curious and a bit dubious when I first heard about a parade at Pan. Are you concerned about how anyone could parade through PanHistoria?
Never fear. There are many ways to participate in the parade. Some people and novels practice their graphic skills and create floats. (We have a float template if you need a place to start!) There have been marching bands including bagpipers. But if you are graphically challenged, there are still many ways you can join in the fun. You can just describe your participation. Are you a clown? Do you ride the mini cars? Are you a princess on a float? Use your words to describe what you see and hear as a participant in the parade.
Many people are parade watchers. I am usually found at the squid on a stick booth selling this delicacy to any daring parade goers. My posts describe my booth and my sales and other adventures. There are lots of positions for vendors to line the Parade route. Frozen lemonade? Balloons? Tee shirts? Bowling shirts? Cotton Candy? Describe setting up your booth and your wares and who knows who will appear as a customer. Customers! Yes, we need customers for the booths that get set up. Describe what you buy.
Then there are the parade viewers. Most people sit in the stands. Many try to get close to Captain Starcastle who has the most amazing cooler—any cool drink you can imagine seems to magically appear from it. Being in the stands gives you an opportunity to comment on the floats that are passing you by. Gather your friends and your alter-egos and grab a spot on the bleachers or bring your lounge chair!
The more people who participate in the Parade, the more fun it is. Let’s make the Fifth Annual Risen Phoenix Parade the best ever with more booths, more floats and more spectators. Get your sun block, and check in with me at the squid on the stick booth.
