Ten years. It seems hard to believe that it has been ten years. To be truthful, some of us find it hard to believe we are ten years older. People have grown up at Pan. They have gotten married while at Pan, had children. Sadly, there are some members we have lost permanently; others have been torn away by other issues in their lives, but we hope to see them back again someday.

So why has Pan survived for ten years despite meltdowns and crashes? Other sites have come and gone. True, PanHistoria gives us the opportunity to write and to stretch ourselves as a writers. However, what is most important about Pan is the people. Starting from the publishers down through the staff and into the general membership, this is a community which has created a home online—a community where people support each other in positive ways. We write together, we laugh together and sometimes we cry together. We are PanHistoria. We are ten years strong, and with the support of all of you, will only get stronger.
