New Tales from Middle Earth
"All those who wander through Middle Earth are not lost...."
From the days when the light of Telperion and Laurelin shown in Valinor to the rebuilding of Gondor by King Elessar a thousand stories remain to be told.
Instead of covering a set period in Tolkien's literary world "Tales" writers chose either a character from the author's work or a specific event and "fill-in-the-blanks." In "New Tales", you can explore the rebuilding of Gondor under King Elessar, experience the glory period of Moria before Celebrimbor created the three Elven Rings, delve into the mind of a Balrog or visit the rebuilding of Lothlorien by Galadriel and Celeborn.
Members work alone creating shorter pieces or enlist others to write specific characters in a group effort for longer pieces to create a work similar to "The Lost Tales" or "The Silmarillion".
To keep "Tales" neat please see a Board Member, Lothiriel of Dol Amroth preferably, to create a new topic.
Due to the plethora of synonyms in Tolkien's novels, please check the casting chart or contact either Lothiriel or Elvina first. Characters are given out on a first come-first served-basis since that is the only fair method. While many writers/characters are also the same as those at "The One Ring" many are not. Contact Mithrandir or if he is not available, please Contact the following MoBsters: Elvina Herewood and Lady Arwen Evenstar with any questions relating to TOR.
There is no current cast list, so the writers are asked to consider a character first in the Tolkien-style. If you have any question about how to create a Tolkien-style character, just let Elvina Herewood and Lady Arwen Evenstar know that you wish to create a "new" character and we ask that you choose an appropriate name, race and occupation. Resources for helping you create your character are also located on the Character Creation page.
