About the novel's story:
It is late 1930’s and England is slowly coming out of the Great Depression. And, what is worse there are rumours on the horizon about the possibility of another war and this time again with Germany.
Meanwhile in the village called Great Langton in North Yorkshire lies a famous painting called The Wild Rose painted in the early to mid 1550's or even older that was previously been told has been stolen from a wealthy estate. The question that is on everybody's mind is: WHY?
Why would anyone steal a world’s famous painting….unless there is something inside the painting.
