The Cellar is open to all types of original horror stories. Your tales do not need to contain the undead or were-creatures, but they must be original stories with original characters, not fan fiction. This is closed novel meaning your character need to submit an application, as well as any characters who will be joining your story. There will probably be no problems with your submission. If there are any, the MoB will contact you. They lurk in the shadows and dark places. They haunt your nightmares and fuel your fears. They are myths, superstitions, and legends.

The first purpose of The Cellar is to allow writers a place to craft and publish short stories and novellas, and to work on ideas they don't want to make into stand-alone novels, but enjoy writing. Writers are only limited by their own imaginations. The second purpose of The Cellar is to act as a springboard for creating new novels by allowing writers to create and develop their unique worlds and storylines without the burden of overseeing an entire novel in the early stages. Writers can fine tune or simply start again. When a storyline receives enough development and interest, the hope is that it will become a stand-alone novel. This is a novel for original fiction.
