An anthology of tales on the struggles of individuals within societies. It could be a small group of revolutionaries fighting for their ideals. The survivors of some apocalypse seeking to rebuild civilization, or just survive. What if history had gone differently and now the old nobility found themselves along with the fae creatures redundant in the modern steampunk world of corporate greed? Or it could be one small girl run away from home and just trying to survive to see tomorrow. These are the stories of those who must fight down their own roads as worlds swirl uncaring around them.
We accept the laws of man and civilization as the natural order of things. Taking for granted that enforcement of those rules will be made by the millions inhabiting planet earth. But what happens when those millions are gone? Are simply too busy to care? Or no longer have the power? When your thousand people need what the hundred strangers across the river won't share? Or when you stand alone against twelve who value your shoes more than your life?
Welcome to the new natural order of Alas, the Folly of Man.
