Radagast the Brown was one of the Istari who came to Middle Earth, along with Gandalf, Saruman, and two others. He dwelt at Rhosgobel, located by the western side of Mirkwood, and close to the River Anduin. He was wise in the ways of herbs and animals, especially birds. However, he was not wise in the ways of Men or Wizards.
