Hermione Granger Weasley belonged to Gryffindor House at Hogwarts. She is of Muggle parentage. Her mother was murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, and her father was tortured to insanity. He was a comatose patient at St. Mungo's for 3 1/2 years until his death. Hermione's best friends are Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.
Hermione attended Oxford University for three years. She was a member of Magdalen College and was enrolled in the pre-med program. Hermione also attended St. Emrys University, where she was enrolled in Cliodna College of Healing. She worked two clinical rotations at St. Mungo's Hospital before going into hiding in March 2002, when the Ministry of Magic began relocating wizards who weren't purebloods into communities. Hermione participated in many rescue missions during that time and also participated in the raids at the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts, when the Minister of Magic was finally defeated.
Hermione resumed her studies in 2003 and worked as a healer at St. Mungo's Hospital between 2006 and 2010. She married Ron Weasley on March 27, 2005 at the Burrow. They live together in Hogsmeade, along with their cat Hero and owl Pigwidgeon. Their daughter Rose was born October 9, 2006. Son Hugo was born on August 25, 2010. Cat Crookshanks died June 22, 2012. Hermione currently works as the wizarding liaison to the Muggle Prime Minister.
