Persephone Anne Jones was born on a blustery November morning. The 25th day at 3:46:45 GMT in her parents' house in city centre, just down the street from Williamson Square, in Liverpool, England, to be exact. Outside the window, the snow fell heavily. And inside the warm house, Albert Jones was being introduced to his second child by his wife Athena. He felt his second daughter was just as beautiful as his first, if not more, and wondered where the red hair upon her head came from.
"Do you have red-heads in your family, dear?" He asked.
His wife thought a moment before shaking her head no. For the first few weeks of Persephone's life, her father often wondered if his wife had been sleeping with the milkman. But then, about mid-March, Athena pointed something out to him--Persephone had a grey hair at the age of four months. Perhaps she was his child after all! Nevertheless, upon closer examination, Albert pointed out to his wife that it was not a grey hair but instead, a blonde one. Within a week, their daughter's hair was no longer a dark red but a dirty blonde. And as the flowers
bloomed, and the children came out to play, and the days became long and hot, her hair became more and more blonde. Then, as the days got shorter, so did the blonde colour of Persephone's hair. By autumn, it was a golden red again. On her first birthday, it was the exact same colour as she had been born with. No longer did her father suspect the milkman, for his daughter's hair was definitely magical, and since the milkman was just as much of a muggle as the Queen, he accepted the fact that Persephone was his own.
::First Year at Hogwarts::
::September 1, 1996::
Today was my first day at Hogwarts. It's so much bigger than I thought! Mum, Daddy, and Hestia never would tell me much about the school. The sorting ceremony was awesome. I was sorted into Ravenclaw, just like Hestia was when she was here. So far I haven't met anyone I didn't like. Even the Slytherins are alright. There is a girl that I met on the train that I really like. I don't know how to spell her name, though ... it's Gaelic. She seems really cool, and we were both put in Ravenclaw! I'm so excited. And there was this one boy ... I don't know his name yet, but he is in Ravenclaw, too, and he kept on smiling at me from down the table. I tried not to make much eye contact. I felt so shy. Well, as the Ravenclaw saying goes, "those of wit and learning will always find their kind." Hmm ...

Wow! Time is going by so fast. I love my classes. They're so awesome, and I'm learning so much. And I've made many friends. My best friend is Aoibheann Beirne. She's from Ireland. And then there is Dan Blood. I didn't think I would ever have a boyfriend, let alone when I was only a first year, but we really click. It's also nice that he's really popular with girls. Makes me feel a bit special to know he chose me of all the girls in the school. I like spending time with Dan's friends: Nicholas Wolfwood of Gryffindor, Gavin Grayson of Hufflepuff, and Valon VanMorrigan of Slytherin. I think Valon is really hot, but don't tell anyone.

Christmas was a blast! But I'm glad to be back at old Hoggy-Hoggy-Hogwarts. I really missed my friends.
::February 14, 1997::
My first Saint Valentine's Day with a boyfriend. It was ... umm ... a bit more special than normal, I guess. It didn't help that we still had class. Dan sent me a card and some magical flowers that bloom when you touch them. They smell really nice. Nick and Aoibheann also sent me cards.

Term is almost over. I can't believe it. My first year is almost over. Looking back on it, I know I've learned a lot. It'll be nice to see Mum and Dad. Aoibheann says I should come visit her this summer. I'm going to see if I can get Dad to let me go. I want to visit her farm.
::Second Year at Hogwarts::
::January 22, 1998::
Today I got news Mum died. First Daddy last month, with being tortured and executed by Death Eaters just because he wouldn't give up information about his Ministry friends, and now Mum. Hestia's letter says she died of grief. I can believe it. She loved Daddy so much. Hestia also said I should stay at school. She even told Dumbledore not to give me permission to leave. I'm supposed to stick to my studies and mourn all alone. However, it's not as if Hestia would be much help anyway. I barely know her even though she's my sister.
::February 15, 1998::
Nicholas and Aoibheann have become such great friends in helping me mourn Mum and Dad. Aoibheann even put on an Irish wake for me, and Nick came. They're always there for me. It's strange, Dan hasn't wanted to spend much time with me, though. Even though he's my boyfriend ... Perhaps he doesn't want to see me cry. That's it. Because I do cry sometimes when I'm with my friends. It's when I feel the safest.
::April 1, 1998::
Nick noted today that I've been more back to my old self--smiling all the time and being chipper about things. I like it how most people here like me. It's nice having many friends. It's especially nice that all the teachers like me. I usually do well in all subjects, just as my sister did. But even the classes that I don't do well in, I still enjoy immensely. I really like Hogwarts.
::June 3, 1998::
Hestia says I'm to come stay with her in Italy this summer. I suppose that'll be fun. But, I wanted to go visit Dan, Nick, and Aoibheann over the holidays. But there really isn't any way ... since Hestia lives in Italy, I pretty much have to stay there. I wish I could disapparate.
::July 30, 1998::
Got my letter about starting my third year at Hogwarts! As much as I've had a TON of fun getting to know Hestia a LOT better this year, I've really missed my friends at Hogwarts. Especially the old gang. We need to get into some mischief. A goal for the new term!
::My Best Friends::
My best friend, Aoibheann is the strongest Ravenclaw I know. She's from a sheep farm in Ireland that is to die for. It's so cute. I'm often jealous of her home life. She's one girl that you never want to get on the wrong side of, though. Have to watch out around this one! I love her to pieces even if she is a bit headstrong at times.
My boyfriend, Dan is also in Ravenclaw. He's probably the smartest guy I know. He's really popular with girls, yet for some reason he chose me. Dan is good at Divination, always getting high marks. He once told me that he Saw us getting married one day. Sometimes I really wonder about that ... He sometimes reminds me of that author Gilderoy Lockhart.
Nick definitely belongs in Gryffindor. He is certainly brave at heart, with daring, nerve, and chivalry. The nicest guy I know, loyal too. Nick was there for me when my parents died in my second year. Whenever I need cheering up, and Aoibheann isn't around, I go to Nick. He always has some sort of story to tell me--whether it be from one of his ghost great-grandfather's books, or an actual story about the author himself.
Gavin, from Hufflepuff, is one of the nicest muggle-born I've ever met. Probably one of the most interesting, too. He's from America, for one thing, and he has many stories to tell.
From Slytherin is Valon. Valon is one dark, mysterious guy. But unlike most other Slytherins, he's not mean. He's actually pretty nice once he decides to like you.
My big sister by 14 years, Hestia is my only family left. I barely knew her until the summer after our parents died. She's actually really cool. She and Aoibheann are a ton alike. I'm not quite sure if they would get along really well, or they would be butting heads all the time! Hestia used to work for The Daily Prophet
until she quit one day, and started living in Italy as a foreign correspondent for the Order of the Phoenix. I really look forward to spending my summers with her. She's been teaching me Italian.
