In our novel The Most Happy, Katheryn is, at this point in time, still married to Lord Latimer and is a friend to the Queen as both women are intelligent, well-educated and very quietly Protestant.
Anne has entrusted Katheryn with the running of the school room for the Royal Children and both women have done their best to obtain the services of the most prominent tutors of their day.
For now, Katheryn's life is that of an honored and trusted woman of the Court enjoying (most) of Court life but having a bit of a problem with one gentleman who does not like to be told "no."
The terrible thing is that Katheryn, having twice been married to men much, much older than she is now is not so sure she really wants to say no.
