Arthur de Richemont is the younger son of Joanna de Navarre and John Monfort, Duke of the Bretagne. Arthur is a handsome, daring young man, who loyally serves his brother, Duke Yann. He likes his sister-in-law, Jeanne de France, who possesses a true Breton heart after her marriage. He helped her a lot when his brother was kidnapped by the Penthiévres.
Arthur was captured at Agincourt, but his captivity was a pleasant one. He was released by the English in 1420 and helped persuade his brother to sign the Treaty of Troyes. In exchange for it in 1422, the English created him Duke of Touraine. But he felt ashamed, regretted what he has done and never used the title. Furthermore, he searched the way back to the Dauphin's Court. He was made Constable of France with support from Yolande of Aragon.
The description of many French lords of his time perfectly fits Arthur too: Fire runs in his veins.Richemont is a soldier but cleverly wears the clothes of a diplomat. His temperament and talents are very similar to the skills of the Navarrese lords, Felipe and Charlot.
French pride! Loved it!
