Biography of Tauriel Rhuiron
Born and raised in Mirkwood also known as Greenwood the Great as her family have done for generations since the founding by Oropher, the King of the Silvan Elves, east of River of Anduin in the beginning of the Second Age. When King Oropher died in battle his son, Thranduil became King of Mirkwood.
It was some years later under the rule of King Thranduil, darkness befell Mirkwood and it was some time later during terrifying times that Tauriel’s family were attacked by Orcs from Dol Guldor. All but one survived the attack. Young Tauriel was found in deep in the brush near the woods of their home by one King Thranduil’s guards and was brought back to Thranduil and it was here that she grew up in within the household of Thranduil.
With her entire family lost, Tauriel began to learn the ways of a warrior and also Court life. At a very young age, Tauriel began her training in the art of combat ranging from many different kinds of weapons, but is an expert in bowman ship and two daggers. From her early years to being a young Elf warrior, Tauriel has been described as lethal and deadly and able to kill. At the age of 600, Tauriel became the youngest Captain of Mirkwood Elven Guard to serve her King. She is also close friend to Prince Legolas and also Lady Elvina Herewood, Captain of Imladris Guards as well as protector of Lord Elrond. It has been rumored that Tauriel introduced Prince Legolas to Lady Elvina for the first time.
By late Spring TA 2996, Tauriel learned of a ancient prophecy concerning the Daughter of Light and the Daughter Twilight. This ancient prophecy about the Daughter of Light and that she is one of nobility from two ancient kingdoms and who is destine to marry King of Mirkwood completing the Elven Triad after the wedding and coronation of the High King and High Queen of the Elves. Who knew that Tauriel was this long lost Daughter of Light and that she will marry King Thranduil of Mirkwood.
Tauriel’s Character and Personality
In the TA 2947, Tauriel Rhuiron is a Captain of Thranduil's Elven Guards, Tauriel is a professional in the military and leads the Woodland Realm's armed forces. Her parents were killed by orcs when she was younger and she has been raised in the household of King Thranduil. She is a young elf, around the age of 600, and is insightful into the changing nature of Middle Earth.
After the Desolation of Smaug and Here and Back Again movies: Tauriel is older and much wiser than her youngerself, but still is insightful into the changing nature of Middle Earth. Notably, in contrast to Thranduil's portrayed isolationism, Tauriel is interventionist, recognizing the growing evils of the world and the need to eradicate them rather than withdraw into the safety of the elven fortress. Highly effective in infantry combat, she is proficient in both archery and hand-to-hand combat. Her primarily weapons are a reflex bow and two long daggers. She is also shown to possess some medical knowledge, being able to treat wounds from poisoned weapons. As a native of the Woodland Realm, she is also a capable tree-climber.
Tauriel is a very close friend to Elvina and have known of Elvina's family; especially when Elvina's father and three older siblings died at the hands of the Orcs high in the Misty Mountains.
