I never dreamed that my life could be so great -- or so terrible.

I was put in charge of Stargate Command (SGC) by President Henry Hayes, replacing Major General George Hammond to initiate civilian rather than military command of site. Vice-President Kinsey tried to bully his way into command but SG-1 came through and destroyed Anubis' fleet using the Antartic Outpost. Once that was over, I didn't get a lot of rest as I had to negotiate a treaty with the System Lords in the aftermath of Anubis' defeat.

Rather understandably, President Hayes put another general in charge of the SGC and I was given a wonderful job: command of the Antartic Research Station. From there, it was a natural step to an even more incredible job: I was to lead the Atlantis Expedition with all the wonders and horrors that we found in the Pegasus Galaxy.

For myself, well, I would never have guessed that I would end up in a replicator created android body floating frozen in space. Or that an Ancient would reach out and return my spirit to a human body to begin living again.

Now I am back on earth and a prisoner of my life. Daniel Jackson has become my advocate and I've passed every test both human and Ancient that anybody can think of and they all say the same thing: I am human. No more, no less. No replicator pitfalls lurk within the body restored by the Ancient. But the IOA doesn't believe their own tests so here I am. A prisoner of my life here at the SGC. I really think the IOA would lock me in a cell if they thought they could get away with it.

So much that has been wonderful and so much I can't see as yet...

Our story is an alternate timeline in which I am restored and does not "fit" within the original StarGate Atlantis cannon.
