Born in 1845, I've traveled much of the world, studying the Earth and her wonders! Geology is in my blood. I grew up walking the wild mountains around Windermere where the earth’s bones break free of the lush verdancy of England. Hardknot Pass, where Romans left more of their ruins, was a favorite place to ride, to sit above the rim of the world and contemplate the future. Did I imagine that my future would end up here, in the bare boned Wild West? Not as that wild boy of the Lakes!

I am a soldier (Sargeant-Major), since I wasn’t much more than a lad. Growing up near the northern mountains, I was raised to be tough and survive. I’d had a rather rough beginning but found that I was made for the military. I’ve worked my way up until I was severely wounded in a battle a few years ago. Losing my left arm nearly ended my career, but a doctor rebuilt a limb for me that links to my own body and runs on phorrus. Close to retirement, I haven’t a clue what to do with the rest of my life. For now, I’ll follow orders and keep an open mind.
