History of Magic Professor at Hogwarts

My name is Karma Davyd, and I am originally from Mumbai, India. I am a history buff both Wizarding and Muggle. I love touring the world and going to sites of great historical significance and I am also a photography buff and music buff. I achieved my Tertiary rank in History at St. Petersburg in Russia, and much to my Mother's dismay I do not wish to settle down and be the perfect 'Indian' housewife. Instead, I moved from St. Petersburg to London, and after applying for a teaching position at St. Emrys and Hogwarts, I was offered the position at Hogwarts where I will be teaching History of Magic to years 1-4, and one can only hope that I am a bit more entertaining than a ghost (No offense to Professor Binns of course!).

I am a shopper and a touch boy crazy, so working with such wonderful eye candy will only provide an excellent backdrop to work. I am also, while teaching at Hogwarts working on my Secondary Order of History, focusing in Ancient History at St. Emrys. It will be a challenge, but so is being the daughter of traditional Indian parents that prefer their only daughter placed in an arranged marriage and living in Mumbai, not teaching at a prestegious wizarding school in Britain.

Hunter of Relics for DARR in the Relic Hunters

My name is Karma and I am a thirty-something professor of Archaeology and Anthropology at Oxford University. I was born in Mumbai, India and moved to London when I was about five years old. I've always been obsessed with history and uncovering the secrets of the past. I also have a talent for languages and can decipher most dead languages and translate a small handful of those living, and I am working on learning a few more in my spare time.

Women in history is one of my biggest passions, no matter the age the female presence in history is something that drives me in my course to unravel the reasons for why there is so much repression of the sexes. Beyond that, I also tend to gear some of my studies toward Joan of Arc, who has become one of my all time favorite historical figures. So, when DARR asked me to track down the Sword of Jeanne d'Arc I eagerly jumped upon the opportunity.
