Camille majored in History of Art with a minor in Linguistics and is considering a graduate degree when her father was found murdered in their affluent neighborhood of Roland Park. Shortly after the incident her mother was admitted into The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt, a psychiatric institution. Her brother also disappeared around that time, leaving the military and rarely checking in with his family.

Her grandfather is a 'retired' politician and her grandmother a stay at home wife and mother who indulges in hosting various charity fund-raisers for her wealthy friends.

While not interested in academics, Camille was brought up from a young age to excel in everything she does. She is a competitive trap and skeet shooter but could never be as good as her grandfather who nearly made it to the Olympic trials. Always chasing someone else's dream, Camille is still numb from the complete disintegration of her family. Just as things begin to return to normal, her brother reappears and quickly everything goes to hell in a handbasket, literally.
