Shakhar Sasse was but a child when the foundations of her world collapsed, first with the fall of Midian, and then again when her mother Shuna Sasse was forced to leave her in the care of Constantin Mazon, a gypsy who owned a traveling circus.
She is however much more than simply a mutation of two species, for like her mother Shakhar can see things that are to come, mostly through her dreams when the mind and soul are free to go beyond the plane of the physical. Through the blessings of Baphomet she is also immortal, though even that has its price.
Shakhar is of course unlike the women you pass on the streets. She was born bearing the same attributes of her mother, a creature neither fully human nor fully animal. Shakhar is a combination of both. She has the curving figure of a woman with a coat of poison filled quills that covers most of her body. Just as the old wives tales of porcupines have long told,Shakhar can shoot these quills from her body like darts from a blow gun with little more than the will to do so and a simple quake of her muscles.
Special thanks to my favorite Birdie...I love this graphic!!
Currently, Shakhar follows in her mother's footsteps and is an exotic treat to be viewed within the sideshow tent of the Mazon Circus. There she performs in a cage as a dancer, fully displaying her true self to the disbelieving public who see her as no more as an elaborate hoax of make up and bad lighting. Her dreams however have begun to trouble her as the sisters gather once more for the Tribes of the Moon to take their place in the new refuge which awaits them.
