In the Outlanders Novel:
 An all American guy with a one year younger sister, Tanya, Josh is the most likely to goof off. He's the only one of them with a car and is the most likely to persuade them to go clubbing instead of studying.
 His heart is in the right place and he means well but sometimes the fact that he hails from a wealthy background and has a trust fund due to mature in a couple of years means he doesn't always consider the financial status of his friends.
 He lives in a swish apartment owned by his parents in a nice neighbourhood and regularly invites his friends round to party.
He's not too concerned with grades and study, preferring to party with his friends and generally have a good time but he's a very talented illustrator. Josh is mainly taking art history and graphic design classes and loves comics.
 He is often to be found doodling caricatures of his friends and other students and staff and has already developed his own graphic novel. He is being encouraged by his friends and art tutors to try and publish it and is trying to convince his father to give him the money to do that without much success. His father believes art is a waste of time and is hoping his son will eventually come to his senses and take up a more suitable career.
