In the Acquisition Run Novel:
 Damon is a big name in the criminal underworld on Scaretta, running a number of operations involving the mining being undertaken in several locations whilst also having a stake in a number of bars and clubs.
He's clever enough to never get caught with anything incriminating and has a number of highly placed associates. The Custodians have been keeping tabs on him for a long while but so far he's managed to avoid being found guilty on any charge and his contacts have never been identified.
For a couple of years he's had his eye on a number of lucrative businesses on Castelli and Mizor, one of them is Infinity's Edge.
