Life Isn't Always Easy...

It's reality, no matter how hard we try life isn't always in our favor. As my husband likes to say, there are times when the deck is loaded on the other guy's side and you're screwed no matter what you do. Destined to get the hard ride and end up empty handed. Then again those are his words, I always liked the idea of making my own future...
Still, often I wonder, is there actually any light at the end of the tunnel? Are brighter days really ahead? Even this scuzzy degenerate apartment is a testament to never-ending rotten luck and poor decisions. Ever since moving here two years ago on a temporary basis things have gone from bad to worse; Frank hasn't even had a steady job in these couple of years. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do anymore.
Alexandria grew up in Maryland and moved to New York shortly after getting married. She works at a local hospital as a anesthesiology assistant and has always had plans to try and go back to school to become some sort of doctor. What type of doctor changes fairly frequently but this doesnít diminish her resolve at all, only serves as a reminder that she seems unable to move forward out of the rut her life is in. Despite the past few years and living at a place like 666 West End Ave Alexandria is typically upbeat and easy going, looking to make something of her life.

Frank, on the other hand, has been moderately successful at doing nothing. Heís been less than the greatest company for quite some time and the people he brings home some days Alexandria isnít very fond of. Most friends they had who Alexandria actually liked grew away over time, especially since Alexandria doesnít like showing off the seedy atmosphere of the apartment building; nor do they tend to appreciate itís dilapidated charms and tenants.
