Iewy Em Hotep! I am the Lady Tia, and I welcome you to Amarna.

I am the daughter of Anen, the brother of Dowager Queen Tiye, and thus a cousin to Pharaoh, himself; but it is my role as menat to princess Ankhesenapaaten that brings me my chief honor, in this life and the next. I have lived for my Ankhes since she was born and, in many ways, we have grown up together. I have also grown older, if not wiser, with my husband Duat. The love of many lives, he is one of the sacred medjay and the princess' major domo.

In the Amarna Novel:

Akhenaten is enjoying his fourteenth year of rule, but the Aten has begun to set on the reign of his Sun. Meketaten, pharaoh's second daughter, died not long ago, and Nefertiti has left to live a life of solitude in the North Palace. In the hope of restoring ma'at and joy, Smenkhkare and Meritaten have married and become regents. Should anything happen to Meritaten, Ankhes will be the next queen. What will be, will be; I only hope it is for the best.

In Everywhere the Glint of Gold:

By fate's chance, my Ankhes has risen from being the third princess to being the Lady of the Two Lands. She reigns with her husband, Tutankhamun, in the old capital of Thebes, but all is new to them. The sheltered world of Amarna is gone, and we must make what we can of the politics and gods left to us. As the Mistress of the Queen's household, I do what I can to maintain order, be it domestic or otherwise. Menat in name I may no longer be, but that, I am still and forever.

In The League of Amarn Royal Women:

I have traded in my courtly manners for a bizarre sense of humor and a knack for making impossible situations seem more so. From Nefertiti to the Croc Hunter, to Egyptologists to Ninja Turtles, no one is safe from my whims! Crikey!;)
