Dancing In The Shadows
Dancing in the shadows
a life less real
Daylight and starlight
have the same feel
Within dawn and dusk
are the places I dwell
Dancing in between
heaven and hell
When I was a child
fear held my hand
By loosening my grip
I found no man's land
Living in the shadows
is a very safe place
Hidden from the eyes
of the human race
Pushed away by those
who wanted to forget
Raised without love
Paid for my silence
a handsome price
of their sacrifice
Forgotten in the void
a puppet on strings
Yearning to fly away
on shadowy wings
I didn't think it possible
to still feel the pain
Unworthy of their love
but not of their disdain
It's time to turn my back
on each and every one
So I dance in the shadows
cast by their setting sun

Of The Woods
Daylight glistens between shimmering leaves,
as the winged maiden slips to her knees;
Her lips kiss the water she cups in her hand,
sweeter than honey from yon fairyland.
Quivering lashes reveal eyes of bright blue,
gazing about her secret rendezvous;
Wildflowers are woven throughout her hair,
delicately scenting the afternoon air.
Droplets of water create prisms of light,
flickering rainbows at the edge of her sight;
Bees and butterflies dance with the breeze,
as birds sing their love songs high in the trees.
Silently he approaches this perfect dream,
his Wings of Light magnifying each sunbeam;
Gathering her tenderly into his embrace,
their desire is revealed in this magical place.
Her lips taste the passion of his welcoming kiss,
knowing there never was a love such as this;
Beyond the fairy woods, past the garden wall,
daylight fades to dusk behind the waterfall.
Words of promise are whispered and sworn,
as the evening star brings a crystalline morn;
Gossamer wings which surround and enfold,
greet the morning sun and turn it to gold.

The Wolf Age
We know the Wolf Age is upon us,
As civilization continues to creep;
We search the memories that haunt us,
In dreams of unrest while we sleep.
The howl of the Wolf is our own voice,
As we reach back inside of our past;
The time has come for our next choice,
To make certain the Wolf Age will last.

If the earth were only
a few feet in diameter, floating
a few feet above a field somewhere,
people would come from everywhere
to marvel at it. People would walk around it,
marveling at its big pools of water, its little pools
and the water flowing between the pools. People would
marvel at the bumps on it, and the holes in it, and they
would marvel at the very thin layer of gas surrounding it and
the water suspended in the gas. The people would marvel
at all the creatures walking around the surface of the ball,
and at the creatures in the water. The people would
declare it precious because it was the only one, and they
would protect it so that it would not be hurt. The
ball would be the greatest wonder known, and people
would come to behold it, to be healed, to gain knowledge,
to know beauty and to wonder how it could be. People
would love it, and defend it with their lives, because
they would somehow know that their lives,
their own roundness, could be nothing
without it. If the Earth were
only a few feet in
This necklace was a gift from my dearest friend!
