From Stage to Audience!

In fact I'm portraying Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and had just finished that night's performance when I was dragged off by my girlfriends to See an opera rather than be In an opera. In fact I haven't even had time to change from my costume; the girls said I could not miss a second of this new one. My German is a bit rusty. I never heard of this opera and I really hope it's good. I could use a break and it's nice to learn from other's singing and acting technique. Hmm. Let's see Das Mädchen Das Die Welt Brach. After trying those translation programs on the web and seeing the hilarious results I think I'll make like a Vulcan and use logic. Das and Die we don't have to worry about. Mädchen = maiden, damsel Welt = World - hey I know that from the German national anthem *LOL* Brach...That one is a mystery. Not the astronomer Tycho Brache. No. Bremze are brakes, like on a car. Brach. Break? The damsel who broke the world ?? *grabs seat and stares down some teen oogling her legs* Okay this should be fun! *sits down and waits for the opera to begin*
