Uh-oh, Pandemonium's giving me that look, I guess I should wander over and interview our fierce competitors. I think I'll start with our Iron Writer.
So Wyatt, you've chosen three very different styles for your first courses but all are familiar for you. Are you nervous about doing the easy ones out of the gate?
"I am a little concerned. My last two courses could well prove to be the most difficult, but I'm making good time."
What sort of strategy do you have for the final two courses?
"My strategy on the final two courses is to pick a couple styles that are a little less in my comfort zone but also make the secret ingredient really shine."
Can the judges expect some surprises out of you?
"I certainly hope I can surprise the judges - otherwise I'm going to be in trouble. Devlin is tough competition."
And now on to our challenger.
Devlin, you've already told us a bit of your stragegy, of going for the harder genres first. Are you finding that that works for you?
"I am finding it difficult to stick to the strategy, primarily because it's so easy to fall back on what you know. But even more than the genre question, the word count is proving to be the greatest obstacle!"
Any hints about the next courses?
"I'm putting the finishing touches on a dark urban fantasy. Upcoming courses? Well, you can definitely expect to see some more fantasy from me with a different flavor, possibly some science fiction. My other choice is going to remain a surprise for now!"
Is it itimidating to face off against Iron Writer Earp?
"Wyatt is definitely a fierce competitor, and an undeniable master wordsmith! It's intimidating, to be sure, but it's also exhilarating! A win against a fabulist of Wyatt's caliber would only be that much sweeter. "
Gentlemen, thank you for your time. I am greatly enjoying the fabulous courses being presented so far. The judges definitely have their hands full with such close competition.
