Clio looked at the styrofoam cup filled with some dismal tepid liquid that someone claimed to be tea. Perhaps a teabag (and here Clio shuddered) had been waved in the neighborhood of some microwaved water, but this was not good tea. She sighed, then she sniffed the aired. Was that some Earl Grey?
Then standing next to her was a perfectly dressed butler type of person holding a silver platter. On the platter buttered crumpets and what appeared to be a china tea pot with a matching china cup. There was even a small plate of thinly sliced lemon, a container of milk and some sugar.
"Miss Clio, compliments of Big Ben."
"Sebastian, isn't it? You and your tray are like manna from heaven."
"If you wish, an invitation has been extended for you to join the master and Babs and Nyan in the luxury viewing box." Sebastian spoke as he set the tray down on the empty bleacher in front of Clio.
"Ah, what a charming invitation, but I need to refresh myself with some tea and these wonderful crumpets, before I have the strength to spend time in the same enclosed space with the girls. What if I had some tea and some crumpets and then come up, bringing the tray and tea things with me?"
"Understandable, Miss Clio, and acceptable." Sebastian nodded and backed away.
Clio pour the perfectly brewed tea, inhaled the scent and then sipped the nectar from her cup. Next she gobbled up some crumpets--the butter dripping down her arms. This was truly the meal of the gods.
