My Captain

A man who’s brave, who sails the sea,
And shows no fear when danger’s near –
A man whose courage leads his men –
This man, his crew named “Captain”
This man traverses oceans deep,
And steers his ship, commands the helm –
The Black Pearl at his beckon call -
This pirate lord – called “Captain”
This man’s fought monsters of the deep,
And faced blood-thirsty pirates.
A man who’s skilled with sword and gun –
A pirate who became a “Captain”
A man who’s been mistreated,
Branded “pirate” on his wrist –
But the “sparrow” on his arm
Shows his soul is free and flies – my “Captain”
A man who measures miles by stars,
Whose shout, “Full Canvas”, thrills my heart –
Whose commands are followed with loyal trust,
This skillful sailor – Black Pearl’s “Captain”
A wit that’s sharp, a clever mind –
A knack for solving problems –
Knowledge of the sea – commands respect,
This lover of the ocean’s tides - “Captain”
His walk so free, so light, so daring –
His confidence in every step –
No fear, he laughs when others hide –
This proud, courageous man called “Captain”
A leather hat, a long striped sash –
Two belts and leather scabbard –
His pistol ready, his sword so sharp,
All these adorn my “Captain”
Sea spray that glistens in his hair,
Gold coins that fill his pockets –
A treasured compass, a pint of rum –
Some delights that please my “Captain”
A grin that shows some teeth of gold –
A charming smile that makes one sigh –
No doubt has broken ladies’ hearts
This handsome face – my “Captain”
His hair in dreadlocks, long and lush,
With beads, and coins, and trinkets –
Jeweled rings adorn his firm strong hands –
This man I stare upon – my “Captain”
A man’s whose eyes are darkest brown,
Whose face is tan and bearded –
His smile that brightens up the world –
This man who I adore – my “Captain”
But – then the man who’s warm and tender,
Bringing passion to our bed –
Masculine beyond compare,
My love, my only one – my “Captain”
His warm caresses, soft sweet whispers,
Surprise me and delight me –
Amazing that such tender love
Could come from this great “Captain”
His arms will hold me close and tight,
Against his beating heart –
Soft candlelight reveals his secrets –
Such wondrous joys – my “Captain”
Sweet secrets of the midnight hour –
Two fevers tossed upon the sea –
Passion burns – a pirate’s lust –
A love beyond compare – my “Captain”
For all my days and nights to come,
On sea and land – and heaven –
I’ll gaze in wonder and feel the joy –
Rest in his loving arms – my “Captain”
