Sao and I share, along with a few other people, MoBstership of one novel -- neither of the two of us were original MoBsters on that novel. To be honest, I probably only got on the DJ because I did the graphics.
Playing within my character, I'd hate to admit my "wife" is right, but she is. MoBsters have to work together. If nothing else it makes for a richer story-sharing experience, and on the other paw it helps diffuse conflict.
If we have a problem, we'll work it out together. If a MoBster is unavoidably absent for a time, we'll have to work around that too, being prepared to give him or her feedback on any stiuation while he or she was gone. And, we need to be prepared to make decisions in the interim, because not all choices and decisions will wait.
If you can't work it out on a Novel or Reference Book with the people you are there with, and you see you are a lone duck: don't worry about pride, but go ahead and leave to go your own way. If you do it honestly, I don't think anyone will fault you for that.
