 Michael Phelps Wins 8 Gold Medals

In a real Herculean - or should I say "Phelpsian" feat - Phelps has surpassed the ultimate of Olympic feats: Mark Spitz's 1972 Olympic run of 7 Gold Medals. Making his Olympic Gold medal total 16, he is the most decorated Olympic athlete in history. Congratulations go to him and his teammates and their families.
