Mercy had been told that in this world of Pan Historia women were considered to be the equal of men--if not, someone named Captain Starcastle said, superiors. At first, this seemed like a delightful notion, but as Mercy was struggling putting together the stall, she did long occasionally for the friendly cowpoke who was 'willin' to help a lil lady out'. Still it felt good to put the stall together herself, and she only hammered her thumb a couple of times.
She had a number of pies ready to go in the over, and placed some pies that had just come out of the oven on the stall where the smells would attract and entice customers. Apple, Blueberry, Peach and Rhubarb pie were all ready. Coconut custard and Chocolate cream would come later. She did wonder however, about the person who stopped by and inquired if she would have meat pies.
Mercy continued to mix more dough for the crusts. She hoped this would be a profitable venture.
