Jessie eyed the semi-clear plastic shopping bag with trepidation. Agatha Christie novels? She hadn’t read one of those books since she was in junior high and purposely flunked the mandatory reading. Well, she’d have to check them over and make sure there wasn’t any water damage then maybe she could sell them at the store. They usually weren’t in her inventory but she just couldn’t see letting a book go to waste.
It was the extra bit she caught that caught her attention and made her grin like an evil little kid. She quickly pocketed the Panda Bucks - certain they’d come in handy - and started pulling on the piece of Miss Marple’s sweater…it wasn’t her fault that the piece and the sweater were still attached by a thread.
Jess’ grin grew wider as she began reeling in a different kind of fish and wrapping the yarn around her hand while thinking of all the different kind of fish that Miss Marple could be called.
