The Return to Pan Essay Contest is now open for entries!
Please post only contest entries to this thread. If you have questions regarding the contest criteria, please contact one of the Contest Judges or post them to the Contest Announcement thread.
Entries should be between 400 and 800 words telling us what you did during the month your favorite virtual playground was closed for repairs. The format should be standard essay utilizing descriptive and narrative devices. A panel of judges will assess the entries according to the scoring process listed below. An independent score keeper will total the collected individual scores, obtain an average, and declare the winner.

40 points possible for story quality; the ability to make us cry, sigh, or wet ourselves from laughing too hard.
20 total points for mechanics; 5 spelling, 5 grammar; 5 punctuation; 5 for using a word that makes us go scrambling for the dictionary (must use the word correctly to collect these five points).
First Place: Six Panickles, the winner's plaque, and a staring role in Season Three, Survivor: India.
Second Place: Three Panickles and a plaque.
Third Place: One Panickle and a plaque.
Additional prizes and commemorative plaques will be awarded.
