Wonderful input, Ladies. Great food for thought when deciding how to, or when to listen to a book.
I can understand the distracted part, Molly. It's easy to get distracted these days anyway with so much 'stuff' going on around you. I get distracted with music sometimes. *S*
Indeed Calliope has the idea I was thinking. While working on a project or cleaning, or maybe walking (with headphones). I think I'm like that, the need of some white noise in the background when I'm working on something crafty, and yes, listen to a book is perfect.
I think the reader of the book can make or break the experience. In truth I have never listened to a book, at least all the way through, was introduced once. And the mention of Harry Potter, which I've only tackled one book, would be a great way to get them read. Yes my book time is limited these days. And Diana's series? Oh, never thought about that, though I've read the first 4.
