 Contest: Frozen Food Fun

Write a fun, lighthearted and happy story or poem about frozen food. You can be the frozen food, you can be buying or preparing the frozen food, but the frozen food must be an important part of the story. Please keep it positive and upbeat, it doesn't have to be funny or silly, but it should be something that'll make your readers smile.

Rules:

  1. All entries must be easily and readily legible. The only HTML tags allowed are the bold and italics tags. Such tags are only acceptable for emphasis in the text, not for altering the main body as a whole. There may be one or two allowable deviations; if you have a need to use alternate tags, please contact Brame or Amelia to discuss your request.

  2. Please submit your entry with no font alterations, the site font is our standard and your entry is expected to be in it.

  3. All entries must be properly formatted. Proper capitalisation and line spacing is a must, as are proper paragraph breaks and appropriate use of punctuation. If you have questions as to what proper formatting and appropriate punctuation is (which can be a tricky issue when it comes to dialogue) there are numerous sites online which can help you. If you need help finding a given source, leave Brame or Amelia a message.

  4. Entries are expected to be spellchecked and grammar checked. An occasional typo is okay, there are any number of things that slip through spell check, but an entry that is riddled with easily spotted and corrected errors will be rejected out of hand.

  5. Story entries must be at least 300 words long, poetry entries must be at least 50 words long.

  6. All entries must be posted to the proper thread by midnight PanTime on the 25th of March to be eligible.


Everyone is welcome to enter, all we ask is that you join Zone:Contemporary in order to collect your gem badge. Prizes will include badges, Zone:Contemporary Diamonds, and site cash. Judging will take place on Friday, March 26th, and prizes will be awarded on Monday, March 29th.

Failure to adhere to the rules and theme will result in disqualification.
